For my regular friends, readers and cheerleaders – I am so happy to say that finally the scale really moved. After months of very small, almost dismissible victories in the weight reduction effort, the scale suddenly flew down by 1.6kgs this past week. That’s been the most weight loss I’ve recorded in a week since I started this weigh-less/health consciousness journey last October. The scale moved slowly and it was hard to keep positive – but now the goal is in sight!! I must admit that I believe it may be due to the thyroid medication I’ve been on (okay, I’m pretty sure it is due to that and partly due to feeling good in the world and starting to get things cleared). Either way, I’m happy the scale moved and I have 400 grams to lose to reach my first goal. Ideally, but without pressuring myself, I’d like to drop another 4kgs.

Along with all this, I do want to share this article and state that part of the drive is due to Discovery points I earn and then the reality that 50 is so close now and I don’t want to be an unhealthy 50 year old and I have every intention of being around to enjoy being a Granny in the future and a healthy one at that.. Those are my main motivators.
To celebrate, I’m going to visit my hairstylist to tidy/cut/trim my hair. Its just grown so quickly since the last visit and I’m thinking that a cut/trim along with the awesome head massage they do at the salon would be a heavenly deserved celebratory interlude. The question today though – layered or sleek? I just love the colour of the style on the right!
