2 of the 4 who stole my heart

This passed weekend we celebrated Mother’s Day. My boys took me to their favourite hang out for breakfast. We shivered and shook and waited an hour and a half for breakfast, but we had such a great time together.

They spoilt me with a gorgeous Fossil watch that we chose together on Saturday and of my favourite sweets.

For some, motherhood comes easy, for me, not as easily as I’d have wished it to be.  I’m a terrible disciplinarian … I am lenient, more a friend than a parenting figure.  I’m not sure if its because that was how my mother was me, but with all my failings, I am 99% sure they know I’m there for them.  I’d move heaven and earth for them.

My baby – he can be 100 and he’ll still be my baby

My big guy

I’ve watched these two form an incredible bond of friendship and brotherhood.  They are two parts of a one.  They support each other.  They are best friends.  I am awed by their love for each other.  I hear them talk to each other in their teen language.  They keep each other in check, sometimes!
