I took this basic outfit of a skirt, long sleeved t-shirt and booties which I wore today because I really did not feel like wearing jeans and by changing one item, transformed it.
The newest item out of all of these looks is the booties, but I’d have happily worn a pair of heels or other boots from a year or three ago.
Up first is this look which I wore today with a trench coat.
Next, a sassy biker jacket
and then, a little more than just one addition, I added a belt and necklace along with the change of jacket.
You could go on and on and just by adding an item create a newer look.
It takes a little creative thinking and planning, but you do not necessarily need a new item to have a new look. Next time, you could wear any of the looks and simply change the top you’re wearing for even more options.
Its too easy to get used to wearing a particular item in a certain way and we get a little stuck and comfortable. Just a tweak here or there is all it takes to keep you out of a style rut.
Here’s to looking good, getting more bang for your buck and keeping the middle age frump at bay … now I’m off for some beauty sleep.
