I bought this dress last year and it hung in my wardrobe looking gorgeous.  I kept putting off wearing it and eventually wore it out to dinner on 1 December for Graemes birthday and, it went back in the wardrobe and there it has hung, smiling at me and waiting to be worn.  It is just so pretty, that it did not feel like an ‘everyday/anyday’ kinda dress and that is why I was putting off wearing it.  Yesterday I decided I’d best wear it as a winter is nipping at our heels and, this is so not something I can see myself wearing in winter.   Also, its still just fitting, any more weight loss and its going to have to be adjusted to fit correctly.

I’m a little ‘old school’ as I still prefer my shoes and handbag to co-ordinate, not always, but for some looks, it just looks more polished.  This is one of the looks that I felt the bag and shoes should at least be in a similar shade.  I think it pulled the elegant look off.

A simple string of pears and my rose gold watch completed the look, really no need for anything more as this dress is so striking on its own.

What do you have hanging in your closet as we come to the end of the season that you have not worn, or worn only once? I challenge you to get it out and wear it.  Dress it up, dress it down – just go for it.

Oh, what a lovely dress! And perfectly presented. The shoes, bag and necklace are great. On top of all that, the pose and hairstyle are sassy. Good work, pal.

Gorgeous dress … glad you decided to wear it before our winter really sets in.

You could always pare it with a great jacket and bring some much needed colour into our stark winter.
