I started my Saturday off at the Rietvlei Zoo Farm Park Run and decided to take some photos with my K Zoom along the way. I really need to tell you how smitten I am with my new phone/camera because I am. It takes such fabulous photos although it won’t replace my DSLR, its very effective.
There was a much bigger crowd than lasts week due to the warmer weather. I am beginning to wonder how insane its going to be come summer.
After the Park Run/Walk I headed past my sister to collect TP and have a cup of coffee and a little chin wag. Back home to shower and get ready for the day. G-man dropped Liam and his friend at their school for them to practise their rugby kicks and when he collected them we met up for ice cream.
I then headed off to pay my Edgars account and check out the offerings in my favourite stores. Lots of sales around and I ended up coming home with a pair of sandals (I’m preparing for summer), a dress, a bracelet and two lace tank tops. But there were so many pretty and interesting items on offer as the season is changing. Looks like we’re in for some pretty looks this coming season.
My Saturday style after the morning walk is usually a pair of jeans or maybe a maxi skirt but usually something easy and casual and with low heels, especially if I plan to head out to the mall or do the grocery shopping. This is the most dressed down you’ll see me, unless I’m returning from or heading to gym or to my weekly weigh-in.
I bought these cotton skinnies last year at Milady’s with birthday money my little guy gave me. They all know my love for clothing and he decided to let me do my own shopping. He’s going to make an awesome husband one day.
The top is one that Tanna bought for me on my trip to Houston over December & January on one of our little shopping trips. Overall we were really well behaved. I bought the necklace ages ago from Accessorize and saw the same but with a gold finish at their stand in Edgars yesterday.
Well folks … hope your weekend is measuring up to your expectations and don’t forget to invest some time in yourself – enjoy a few moments under a tree or a quiet latte in a cozy corner on a sofa in a busy mall.
